We are very pleased to report that AWI and our auction partner, Shanghai International Commodity Auction Co Ltd (GUOPAI) are working towards an exclusive agreement that will enable us to auction your investments for years to come.
Certain regulations on foreign trade practices and the importation of wine into China have, however, affected AWI’s ability to proceed as planned with the Shanghai Auctions, both physical and online, scheduled during March and April 2011. In short, they did not take place. AWI is working very closely with our auction partner and other relevant parties to finalise matters and set a new date.
At this stage, we expect the auctions proposed in June, September and November will also be affected, in format and possibly in schedule as well. We anticipate reverting back to you within the next 3-4 weeks with more information and options for your consideration.
